Drastic times call for drastic measures. There are times people need full force, extreme liver cleansing. Unless you feel the need for serious purging, I have a simple, natural liver cleanse that will help you cleanse your liver. This recipe can also be considered a liver gallbladder cleanse. You will make this recipe 1 time a week for 4 weeks.
You will need the following:
- Blender
- Organic Tomato Juice
- Organic Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 Cloves Garlic
- Turmeric
- Chlorella
6 oz Organic Tomato Juice. If you are not a do-it-yourself juicing epicurean, try R.W. Knudsen Organic Tomato Juice available at your local health food store.
3 Tablespoons Organic Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Olive Oil from Spain has a higher concentration of Polyphenols. Especially look for the olives from the Andalusian and Catalonian regions. Polyphenols help repair free radical damage, soothes inflammation, and reduces a fatty liver. The polyphenols in olive oil have shown to help cleanse away bacterias such as salmonella, cholera, staphylococcus, pseudomonas, and influenza that may be hiding in the liver.
2 medium sized cloves of fresh garlic. Fresh garlic is preferred over garlic capsules. Garlic fights Microbial and Fungal Infections. The majority of people have many nasties hiding out in their liver. Candida is a major infection that is hiding in the liver. Garlic helps to increase your liver’s production of Glutathione-S-transferase. Glutathione-S-transferase is an enzyme that helps the liver detoxify carcinogens and other dangerous chemicals.
1 slice (approximately 1 teaspoon) Turmeric. Most Asian or Middle Eastern grocery stores carry turmeric rhizome. Use fresh whenever possible because dried and ground turmeric is often rancid and has reduced active medicinal properties. Turmeric works on the gallbladder and liver. It stimulates bile production which helps natural detoxification. Turmeric reduces inflammation. Known for it’s anti-bacterial actions, turmeric will help rebuild the liver. Cleansing often upsets the beneficial bacteria within your body. Turmeric helps to improve the intestinal flora.
1 capsule or tablet chlorella. I like Broken Cell Wall Chlorella. Dr. Mercola sells a good brand at a reasonable price. http://products.mercola.com/chlorella/ Chlorella is a natural detoxifier of heavy metals and alcohols stored in the liver. Chlorella strengthens the functions of the liver and is a good source of natural fiber to restore colon health. Chlorella increases the liver’s ability to remove fungi, bacteria and poisons from the blood.
Put all of this in a blender and blend well. Drink first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. No food or water before this liver cleanse. Wait 10 minutes and mix up another of the tomato juice liver cleanse and drink again. Go about your daily activities. Wait 1 hour before eating or 30 minutes before drinking anything. I highly recommend that you have a bowel movement within a few hours of taking the liver gallbladder cleanse. If you are not regular, I would suggest having a mug of smooth move tea after your liver cleanse to make sure that you are moving the toxins out of your body and they are not being reabsorbed.
*This liver cleanse can be repeated or done as often as you would like.

fantastic blog! im going to try this instead of the other liver cleanse! so i have a question: When u recommend that u drink the mug of smooth move tea, do u still have to wait the minimum time before you can drink anything, to drink it?
Good question… It all depends on your tolerance. I can drink the tea before the liver cleanse and not have it bother me, but you may be more sensitive. You can drink the smooth move a few hours before the cleanse since liquid leaves your body fairly quickly. Just make sure you drink A LOT of water the day before and the morning of. My favorite is still the Oxypowder or an oxygenated magnesium supplement found at most grocery stores. Post a reply and let us know how it goes! Thank you for commenting.
